You could think of scalp micropigmentation as a kind of specialist tattoo, except that our procedure is carried out in a much more cautious and gentle way and the needle never penetrates more than a millimetre into your skin. This means it can’t harm your hair roots. The treatment causes little to no pain. We use the pigment carbon black, which is harmless to your hair roots, your skin and your body. It does not cause any allergic reactions or leave any scars.

Scalp micropigmentation is an effective solution in many cases. If you’re going bald, for example, we can give you back the appearance of full and natural hair. Scalp micropigmentation is suitable for a close-shaven look but can also be used to make long hair look thicker, with or without a hair transplant. It can be used with black, brown, blonde, red or grey hair. Completely white hair cannot be simulated using micropigmentation. If you have white hair, we’ll give you a wet shave to cut off your remaining hair and simulate a close-shaven hairstyle using micropigmentation. Even if you’ve lost all the hair on your head, we can still help you by creating the illusion of natural-looking stubble.
A hair transplant cannot restore your natural hair density. That’s why scalp micropigmentation might be an option for you following a hair transplant, if you’re unhappy with the result. The scalp micropigmentation process: five steps to achieving your new look
Our preliminary consultation: Is scalp micropigmentation a good option for you? We’ll answer this question during our free initial telephone consultation. Before the consultation, please send us some photos of your head (front, back, left, right, top) and provide us with your telephone number. We’ll review your pictures and let you know within a few days whether or not we can help you. If the answer is yes, we’ll book you an appointment at our scalp micropigmentation studio.
The first treatment appointment: Every initial treatment includes a personal consultation at our studio, during which we answer all of your questions. First, we establish your perfect hairline. We carefully tailor your hairline to the geometry of your face and the shape of your head. We draw the hairline on with a white pen so you can check it in the mirror beforehand and see what the end result will look like. Of course, you’re welcome to tell us your own preferences at any point. And we can easily make changes to your hairline after the first session too.
Your first session: In our treatment room, we’ll get you to make yourself comfortable on our massage couch. You can chat to us if you like, or simply close your eyes and relax. We’ll create your new look dot by dot. This can feel a bit ‘pinchy’, but it won’t make your scalp bleed. A session lasts between one and four hours depending on the type of treatment and the extent of your hair loss.
After the session: Don’t worry, you won’t have to hide up at home for days afterwards. Your scalp will only be slightly red, and you can still go to work as normal or meet up with friends. Some of our clients even report that their friends and co-workers didn’t realise they were having micropigmentation done.
After your session the scalp needs to be left alone to heal. This only takes a few days. To speed up the healing process, we’ll provide you with a special skincare cream. Please avoid exercise for seven days. After about three weeks, your scalp micropigmentation will be healed and you can take it anywhere – even to the sauna, the swimming pool or the tanning salon.
Subsequent sessions: After each session we’ll book you another appointment until the illusion of full hair density is achieved. This will take around three to four sessions. You’ll be impressed by how much progress you can see after every session!

You’re bound to be wondering: “How much does scalp micropigmentation cost?” The answer depends entirely on what we are able to do for you. Only after looking at your photos will we be able to assess which course of action will work best for you, and give you an exact quote for the cost of your treatment. Scalp micropigmentation on the top of the head, for example, is more labour-intensive than micropigmentation for scars. In each case we’ll give you a clear and non-binding quote which you can read through at your leisure.
